Happy Easter to you all! I am linking up with Handmade Monday over at http://www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk/blog/ This is my first post for a couple of weeks so I hope you enjoy it, and why not pop over and have a look at the many other bloggers who are linking up to Handmade Monday!
Taffy's been feeling a bit sorry for me recently!
Why you may ask? Well you may or may not have missed me recently but unfortunately last weekend I was struck down with a tummy bug and it took me till at least Thursday before I began to feel better.
But I am glad to say I am back to my normal self now (my husband said the volume has gone up again! I have no idea what he means!). So really this post is just a quickie to let you know I haven't forgotten you all and to apologise for not visiting many blogs recently. I really hadn't the energy to turn the computer on!
The week before I was ill I went up to a small weaving company in Dunkeswell, Devon to collect some more yarn, mainly to use in the Extreme Crochet Workshops coming up soon. They very kindly provided me with a car load ....
I was going to take Chester with me to show them what I was making with their yarn, but as the very sensible man said "Just bring a picture with you, leave more room in the car for yarn!". Good job I did judging by the load I brought back!
What do you think to all these gorgeous colours? It was like Christmas come early! I was like a kid in a sweet shop!
Just got to decide what to make with it now!
I am busy writing a post for Christmas Pie Crafts http://christmaspiecrafts.blogspot.co.uk/ as I am her guest blogger on Friday 13th (unlucky for some!) so please pop over and visit her blog, we would both love to see you there. Without giving too much away, Taffy and Chester will both be playing staring roles!
Bye for now
So pleased to be back and it's good to be feeling well again.

Glad that you are feeling better and looking forward to seeing what you make with all that yarn! I think that your husband was right when he said to leave Chester at home - with all the yarn to bring back poor Chester may have had to sit on the roof on the way back! Mich x
ReplyDeleteWow! I think the excitement of all that yarn may have made you a bit poorly. I know it would make me giddy! Glad you are feeling better, Happy Easter to Taffy, Chester and of course yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I'll bet you are like a child in a sweet shop with all that yarn. Glad you are feeling better, look forward to seeing what you do with it all. xxx
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of yarn - how exciting x
ReplyDeleteSo much yarn, so many ideas... can I suggest a life-size friend for Chester? Glad you're feeling better now. Happy Easter. x
ReplyDeleteErr! No comment! Lol
DeleteChester would have been seriously miffed having to share with all that other yarn and worried that he was going to be usurped. What are you going to do with it all I would not know where to start as so much choice, we expect pic's on your blog in the weeks or maybe months to come.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, what a gorgeous stash - really looking forward to seeing all of your makes with it. Lovely colours. Glad you are feeling much better - something like that really does knock the stuffing out of you. Look forward to you, Chester and Taffy being my guest bloggers on Friday. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better.....Bet you can't wait to get started on all that gorgeous yarn....Look forward to seeing the results
ReplyDeleteS xx
Sorry to hear you were poorly. Your stash is making me feel good about myself... LOL. Good luck with the workshops :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the wonderful comments, I feel even better than I did before now! All this yarn is very exciting, if the Extreme Crochet Workshops take off a lot of it will be used for those, although I have just ordered a ball winder so I can wind it into neat balls as I am planning on making up kits to sell so that people can have a go at home if they can't get to one of the workshops.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better! What an amazing load of goodies you got!!! Jo x
ReplyDeletethat's an impressive collection of threads
ReplyDeleteGosh, thats a lot of yarn. How clever of the man saying don't bring the bear you'll have more room for yarn! Bet he was taken aback on the size of Chester. Glad you're feeling better now and can get back into the swing of things.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic collection of yarn, can't wait to see what you make with it
ReplyDeleteUh Oh! Looks like I better get making if you are all waiting to see what I make out of my stash of yarn!
